FAQ

What is a podiatrist?

A podiatrist is a qualified allied health professional that diagnoses, treats and manages conditions of the foot and ankle. Podiatrists are also involved in educating patients on preventative measures to avoid foot complications.

Melbourne Podiatry Group treat a range of conditions affecting children, sports patients and patients with Diabetes.

Do I need a referral to see a podiatrist?

A referral is not required to see a podiatrist.

However if you have a DVA gold card, are under Work Cover or TAC or eligible for Medicare (Enhanced Primary Care Referral) then a referral is required from your General Practitioner or specialist.

What do I need to bring to an appointment?

If you have had any x-rays or ultrasound imaging please bring these along to your consultation.

If you are suffering from foot, leg or back pain please bring your shoes and any orthoses your are currently wearing.

Please contact Melbourne Podiatry Group on 1300 650 293 to make an appointment, or make an appointment online today.
